1 ½ tbsp white vinegar
1 egg



Step 1: Fill ¾ of a pot with water, and put it over medium heat.

Step 2: Add 1 ½ tbsp of white vinegar to the heated water.

Step 3: Boil the water.

Step 4: Continuously stir water with a spoon, and let it whirl around on its own. Then crack the egg into the water and continue stirring. In big circles, quickly stir the pot around. By using this method, the egg will stay in one piece.

Step 5: Once the egg is opaque, wait for 4 minutes for hard-poached, 3 minutes for medium, and 2 minutes for soft-poached. Remember, cooking times will be affected by the temperature of the water. Lift your egg out of the water with a slotted spoon once the eggs are done.

Step 6: Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
