Summer is here, and we all get to hear from our elders that we should drink eight glasses of water a day to keep our bodies hydrated. But, do you really drink eight full glasses of water? No, right? So to keep you hydrated all day long, here are 8 hydrating foods to beat the summer heat. They’ll contribute to your water intake, and they’ll help you feel full without as many calories.

1. Cucumber

This refreshing vegetable contains 95% water, as well as several nutrients, including magnesium, potassium, calcium, and sodium. It also sooths your skin and can be used in juices and salads.

2. Watermelon

Apart from being rich in vitamin C, watermelon contains 92% water. Thus, it keeps your body hydrated on a hot summer day. It’s also filled with antioxidants and nutrients, such as vitamins A, B6, and C. You can flavor your water with it, or you can eat it directly in salad.

3. Strawberries

With a water content of 92%, strawberries are the best hydrating food of all berries. You can either eat them raw, pair them with cream, or create a strawberry smoothie.
